Mrs. Selona Jackson, age 93 of Puryear passed away April 7, 2017 at her residence. Her funeral service will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Osbourne officiating. Burial will follow in the Conyersville Methodist Church Cemetery in Puryear. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM prior to the service on Saturday. Pallbearers will be Scott Owen,Tony Underwood, Greg Underwood, Danny Underwood, Jerry Arnold and Bryan Hedges. Selona Underwood Jackson was born March 5, 1924 in Paris, TN to the late Clarence Lee Underwood and the late Selona Geneva Hendrix Underwood. On December 5, 1944 she married Rex Jackson who preceded her in death on August 17, 2014. Mrs. Jackson is survived by one daughter, Debbie (Ron) Lovvorn of Puryear, TN; one son, Larry (Sheila) Jackson of Puryear, TN; one brother, Ralph (Joan) Underwood of Burns, TN; two grandchildren, Russell (Melissa) Jackson and Kimberly Jackson; one great grandchild, Ashley Jackson; two step-grandchildren, Shannon McCampbell and Bryan Hedges; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and a very special friend, Tammy Wood of Puryear, TN. Selona Jackson was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Jackson; four sisters, Annie Laura Underwood, Ila Bell, Betty Owen, and Dortha Perry; eight brothers, Paul, W.D., T.J., Barkley, Prentice, Stacy, Earl, and Lexie Underwood; and one grandchild Whitney Jackson. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Russwood Baptist Church. She was part owner of Salmon's Grocery and she was a seamstress for Paris Tailor Shop. SERVICES Funeral Service
