Sheila Smothers, age 60 of Paris, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at her residence. Her body is to be cremated and no services are scheduled. Sheila Ann Wilkey Smothers was born December 27, 1955 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Delmer Wilkey, Sr., of Union City, TN and the late Jean Kobulnick Wilkey. She is survived by two daughters: Laura "Stacy" Amershi of Paris, TN and Sarah Joyce Smothers of Puryear, TN; one sister: Laura (Kevin) Denton of Naples, FL; two brothers: Delmer (Robbie) Wilkey, Jr., of Dresden, TN and Kevin (Karen) Wilkey of Sharon, TN; and two grandchildren: Matthew Amerski of Jacksonville, FL and Gracie Smothers of Puryear, TN. Besides her mother, she was also preceded in death by a daughter: Billie Rae Smothers. Mrs. Smothers was a 1975 graduate of Dresden High School. She loved her grandchildren and was a Jehovah's Witness.
