Shirley Esra Enoch, age 83 of Paris, TN passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at her residence. Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 25, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. John Smith of Fairview Baptist Church where she was a member officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday, March 24, 2022, and after 12:00 PM Friday, prior to the service. Pallbearers for Mrs. Enoch will be Johnny Pierce, Bert Pierce, Ben Enoch, Josh Enoch, Nathan Dodd, and Dustin Enoch. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Enoch and David Enoch. Shirley Esra Enoch was born December 21, 1938, in Jackson, TN to the late John Henry Esra and the late Artie Annie Smith Esra Oliver. On May 18, 1958, she married Carlos Ray Enoch and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2016. Mrs. Enoch was a writer and previously had a column in the Paris Post Intelligencer. She was an outstanding woman who loved music, family, and especially her grandchildren. Shirley is survived by two daughters: Debbie Dean of Buchanan, TN and Ramona Pierce of Paris, TN; two sons: Mike Enoch of Springville, TN and David (Laura) Enoch of Paris, TN; thirteen grandchildren: Wayne (Sue) Enoch, Josh (Pam) Enoch, Ben (LaToya) Enoch, Shanna (Will) Mathis, Demina "Dee" (Clint) Rogers, Stephanie Dodd, Nathan Dodd, Greg Dodd, Dustin Enoch, Tiffany (Chris) Miller, Johnny Pierce Jr., Bert Pierce, and Lani (Justin) Enoch; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Newton of Jackson, TN. Besides her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Smith on July 3, 2010; a son, Anthony Enoch on January 6, 2016; a grandson, Michael Dean on May 27, 2020; two sisters: Clara Krannichfelt and Viola Fullington; and two brothers: Billy Esra and Virgil Esra.
