Shirley Irene Grant Smith, age 91 of Paris, TN passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at her residence. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at McEvoy Funeral Home with her son Edward Smith officiating. Burial and committal will take place at a later date in Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery, West Chester, PA. Shirley Grant Smith was born March 21, 1932 in San Bernardino, CA to the late Edward A. Grant and the late Helen McCracken Grant. She married her college sweetheart, Philip D. Smith, Jr. on January 29, 1954 and he survives in Paris. Shirley is also survived by her daughter, Corrine Smith Garrison of Cookeville, TN; son, Ed Smith and wife, Sara of Paris; sister, Elaine Timmons of Holly, MI; grandchildren, Grant Garrison, Kevin Garrison, Philip Smith, Katelyn Garrison, Abigail Venuso, Hannah Brinker, and Paige Smith; great grandchildren, Helen Brinker and Zipporah Venuso. Besides her parents, Shirley is also preceded in death a son, Philip D. Smith, III. Mrs. Smith was deep rooted in Christian faith and a member of the Kentucky Lake Road Church of Christ.
