Mrs. Sibyl Anne Routon Ries, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Her graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Randy Stephens to officiate. Burial will follow the service and family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Sibyl Routon Ries was born October 6, 1955 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Norman Richard Routon and the late ViAnne Hudson Routon. She married Michael Ries on October 19, 1999 and he survives in Paris. Sibyl is also survived by her daughter, Misty Deal of Littleton, Colorado; her son, Matt Mullins and his wife Kris of Centennial, Colorado; grandchildren, Sean Hammett and MariJayne Deal; sisters, Lynn Routon of Lake Helen, Florida and Michelle McGeeney of Yukon, Oklahoma; also numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Mrs. Ries was a Catholic by faith. She was an amazing baker and a wonderful cook. Sibyl was known as a people person who took care of many. She was a loving wife and mother who dearly loved her family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: the National Hemophilia Foundation, Catholic Charities, or the American Cancer Society.
