Steven Smyth "Steve" King, age 52 of Paris, TN, passed away Wednesday October 21, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka, KS. A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM Sunday November 1, 2015 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Wilbur Farmer officiating. Visitation for Mr. King will be from 1:00PM Sunday until service time 4:00PM. Steve was born December 16, 1962 in Paris, TN to the late Morris and Mary Lyn Smyth King. He is survived by a special friend: Carrie Fletcher, Paris, TN; daughter: Patsy Lyn (Ralph) Russell, Paris, TN; sons: Derek (Katie) King, Sioux City, IA, Joey (Lori) King, Paris, TN; brother: Ronnie King, Nashville, TN; grandchildren: Camryn, Jasmyn, Lauryn and Damien Russell, Delaney King, Morgan and Evan Coker; nieces: Kristi King, Puryear, TN, Brandi (T.K.) Russell, Paris, TN; aunts: Retta Jane Pool, Betty Holcomb; uncles: Bobby (Nancy) King, Wayne King; local cousins: Sherry (Donald) Mummert, Tracy Kilpatrick, Joby Bullen and Jill Ball. He is preceded by a brother: Richard "Dickie" King; grandparents: Lawrence and Pearl King and C.D. and Loretta Smyth. Steve retired from Tecumseh Products after 18 years of service. He later began working with his sons traveling around the country working construction. He also enjoyed watching and coaching his children in all their sporting events.
