Mrs. Susan L. Mathis, age 73, of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the St. Thomas Mid Town Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Her body is to be cremated and no services will be scheduled. Susan Lee Mathis was born on May 25, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joe Kass and the late Helen Maynard Kass. She married Joe Mathis and he preceded her in death. Susan is survived by her two sons: Richard "Rich" Mathis of Paris and Scott (Janine) Mathis of Killeen, Texas; grandchildren: Serra Mathis, Kai Mathis, Chase Mathis, Tori Mathis, and Kaleb Mathis; and by a special friend: Wayne Clark of Paris. Mrs. Mathis is also preceded in death by a grandchild: Shannon Mayne. Susan was a Baptist by faith. She worked as manager of Long John Silvers formerly of Paris. Susan enjoyed filling out and filing income tax for many of her friends in Illinois.
