Steve is also survived by sister, Debbie Medlock of Springville and brother, Bernard Parker of California.
Mr. and Mrs. Parker were Baptist by faith. Susie was a graduate of Henry County High School; Steve graduated from Big Sandy High School. They enjoyed gathering with their family, the holidays (especially Halloween for Susie so she could scare people), bowling (which is how they got together), and playing cards together. They looked forward to spending Sunday afternoons with “Granny and Bob”, greatly loved their family but most especially their grandchildren. Steve was very proud of his military service, both in the Navy and the National Guard. He loved woodworking, going to the gun range, and was the “go-to gamer” for the entire family. Susie and Steve were always crazy about each other, sharing a very rare and wonderful marriage, devoted to their family and to each other.
