Sylvia D. Thomason Green West, formerly of Puryear, TN., passed away on September 11, 2017, at Covingtons Convalescent Center in Hopkinsville, KY. She was born to the late Mary Thomason Etheridge on July 6, 1928, in Terry, Montana. In addition to her Mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, William O. (Bill) West of Paducah, the father of her children, Kit Carson Green, son-in-law, Franklin Moss, Sr., and her step-father, D.W. Etheridge. Ms. West is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Tommy Grossheim) Moss, Greenbrier, TN., son, Charles (Peggy) Green of Mayfield, KY, grandsons, Franklin Moss, Jr., Greenbrier, TN., C.J. (Candy) Green, San Bernardino, California & Tony (Tina) Green, Hazel, KY., great-grandchildren Jason Green, Chloe Green and Cole Green. She is also survived by step-daughters, Janice (Bob) Crosno and Sue Anne (Randy) Robinson of Paducah, Ky., and Linda (Rod) Smith of Richmond, Va., several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren, special sister, Eddie Clayton of Buchanan, TN., and long-time friend, Elaine McDaniel, Paris, TN. The body will be cremated. A memorial visitation with the family will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at McEvoy Funeral Home.
