Funeral Service for Mrs. Matheny will be 2:00 PM Sunday at McEvoy Chapel, Bro. Douglas Nash of Central Point Baptist Church will officiate, burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Bill Brake, Barry Webb, Jim Brake, James Derek Martin, Tracey Lee Brown and Delmar Gordon Harrison. Visitation will be Saturday 4:00 -8:00 PM and after 12:00 Noon Sunday. Born August 13, 1921 in Henry County to the late Ovie Lee and Alma Lovie Starling Webb. On September 16, 1939 she married James Douglas "Jake" Matheny, together they had been lifelong farmers in the Central Point Community, he preceded December 31, 1997. Survived by onedaughter: Mary Catherine (Delmar) Harrison, Clarksville, TN; two sons: Jerry (Mary Jo) Matheny and Rickey (Teresa) Matheny both of Paris, TN; four grandchildren: Tracey Brown, Jeffrey Matheny, Melissa Taylor, Julie Sherrod; fourteen great-grandchildren: Derek Martin, Elijah Brown, Ashleigh Brown, Haleigh Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Jacob Matheny, Shane Matheny, Trevor Matheny, Leah Matheny, Kristen Taylor, Eric Taylor, Merrick Taylor, Izabella Taylor, Gage Sherrod; one brother: Charles (Jane) Webb, Paris, TN; one niece and two nephews. Preceded by one son: Ray Matheny; two grandchildren: Jana Rae Taylorand James Eric Matheny; one brother: George Webb. Mrs. Matheny was a member of the Central Point Baptist Church.
