Thomas Harold Rayburn age 76 of Paris died Saturday, July 4, 2009 at his residence. His funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery in Mansfield, TN. His visitation will begin at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday and continue unitl 8:00 P.M. Then on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until funeral time at 11:00. Mr. Rayburn was the son of Thomas Obie Rayburn and Ruth Robison Rayburn, both preceded and husband of, Martha Bowden Rayburn who preceded him in death in 1991. He is survived by his two sons Rev. Dennis (Jill) Rayburn of Radcliff,Ky and Dr. Mark (Susan) Rayburn of Cordova, TN. He also has a brother, Jerry (Sandra) Rayburn of McKenzie, TN and was preceded by a brother, Kenneth Rayburn. He has 6 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a loving companion, Marilyn Kendall of Paris, TN. Mr. Rayburn retired with the Henry County Board of Educaton as a teacher. He also had worked at Holley Carburetor formerly of Paris. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War from 1953-1955. He was a gradaute of Henry High School and of Bethel College. Military Honors will be given at the Cemetery.
