Funeral Service for Tommy will be Saturday August 15, 2009 2:00 P.M., McEvoy Chapel with burial to follow at Foundry Hill Baptist Cemetery, visitation 4:00 until 8:00 Friday and after 10:00 Saturday. He is survived by his wife; Leva Jane "Janie" Jobe Simmons, Puryear, TN, daughters; Andrea (Michael) Donnawell, Lisa (Chris) Purdy, Teresa (Ed) Sands, all of Paris, sons; Steven (Leslie) Simmons, Puryear, James Simmons, McKenzie, brothers; Sammy Simmons, Puryear, John David Simmons, Paris, seventeen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, preceded by his parents; J.O. and Veltie Townsend Simmons, daughter; Judith Fuzzell, half-sister; Zula Mae Simmons, half-brother; John Thomas Simmons. He was the owner and operator of Snappy Small Engine Repair, Puryear, TN, retired welder from Tecumseh Products, had a country music band for years (Tommy and the Good-Times).
