Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Cate, New Bethel Church of Christ and Bro. Victor Eskew of East Wood Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are: Steve Brown, Keith Brown, Richard Brown, Alex Simmons, T.J. Munn, Gus Maroun, Albert Gandy and Edward Gandy. Visitation 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 9:00 AM Wednesday. She was born in Benton County, TN to the late Elijah Wilford and Della Hancock Moody. She was married to Albert T. Brown, he preceded May 22, 1977. Survived by daughters: Norma (Bill) Gandy, Nashville, tN, Willo (Brent) Clark, Lexington, TN; sons: John (Rosemary) Brown, Kalamazoo, MI, Donald (Sandra) Brown, Paris, TN, Ronald (Sue) Brown, Paris, TN; grandchildren: Sarah (Gus) Maroun, Janine (Alex) Simmons, Steve (Dawn) Brown, Christy (Darren) Roberson, David (Shawnaree) Brown, Kim (Ernie) Veglio, Albert Gandy, Edward Gandy, Hannah Williams, Whitney (T.J.) Munn; sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by sisters: Inez Ellis, Thyra Cox; brothers: Will Moody, Andrew Moody, Elwood Moody, Edward Curd Moody, Hunter Moody; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Brown was a member of the East Wood Church of Christ. She was active in Oakland community events.
