Funeral service 11:00 AM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home, Bro. Bobby Campbell and Bro. Jimmy Allison officiating, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Nathan Lowry, Zachary Lowry, George Delius, Jason Cooper, Matthew Sager and Jay Taylor. Visitation 5:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday and after 10:00 AM Thursday. She was born in Springville, TN to the late Felix Alexander Thompson and Cora Wimberley Thompson. On October 20, 1944 she married Herschel Heldred Lowry, he preceded December 8, 2000. Survived by daughters: Janette (Joe) Green, Pace, Florida, Shirley (Larry) Cooper, Dickson, TN; son: Danny (Theresa) Lowry; sister: Thelma Shankle, Buchanan, TN; sister-in-law: Opal Dean Cole, Big Sandy, TN; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, their families and special friends. Preceded by a sister: Vernice Roberts and a brother: Herman Thompson. Mrs. Lowry was a member of Antioch Methodist Church and had attended Central Point Baptist Church for several years.
