Vida Morris Bucy, age 84 of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at her residence. Her funeral service will be Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2:00PM at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Campbell of Central Point Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00PM Monday prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Buchanan, Tennessee. Vida Maxine Morris was born November 18, 1931 in Buchanan, Tennessee to the late Henry Thomas Morris and the late Ballie West Morris. On April 2, 1950 she married Mr. Luther Gordon Bucy who preceded her in death on September 11, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Mr. Van Masciantonio on October 27, 2014. Mrs. Bucy is survived by two daughters, Jana L. Guindon of Wellsboro, PA and Tonya K. (Reeve) Swainston of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren, Hannah Guindon, Austin Guindon, Brooke Swainston, and Wesley Swainston; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Bucy was also preceded in death by four sisters, Lois Curd, Nola Vera Yarbrough, Evelyn Haywood, and Carrie Lodema Perry; and three brothers, Brent Morris, Hafford West Morris, and Charles Edward Morris. Mrs. Bucy worked as a child care provider in the Upper Merion school district in King of Prussia, PA and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Norristown, PA.
