Memorial service 2:00PM Monday at Jones Chapel Baptist Church with Randy Phillips-Nephew and Garry Phillips-brother officiating. No visitation is scheduled prior to the service. She was born in Paris to the late Verner Viven and Hettie Wood Phillips. On November 14, 1979 she married K.M. (Red) Carter, he preceded July 13, 1991. Survived by daughters: Debra Murphy, Livonia, MI, Sheila (Scott) Wilson, Medina, OH; sons: timothy Murphy, Westland, MI, Sean(Jan) Murphy, Royal Palm Beach, FL; sister: Vernell Stout, Paris, brothers: Wallace "Buck" (Gloria) Phillips, Jackson, Garry (Betsy) Phillips, Paris, Joe (Barbara) Phillips, Brooklyn, MI; three grandchildren: Daniel (Angela) Rohring, Raeanna (Chris) Webb, Jeffrey Lindahl; three great-grandchildren: Taylor, Madison and Tyson Rohring, also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She attended Jones Chapel Baptist Church.
