Virginia Adams Hardin, age 85, wife of the late Rev. Perry Hardin, passed away Sunday September 6, 2015 in Gray, TN. Her funeral service will be 3:00PM Tuesday September 15, 2015 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Lee officiating, burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation beginning at 1:00PM Tuesday until time of service. She was born in Mead, KS July 23, 1930 to the late Prather and Inez Lawrence Smarze Adams. On December 3, 1949 she married Rev. Hardin, he preceded November 22, 1998. Survived by a brother: Bob (Rita) Irvine, Hainesville, IL; granddaughter: Staci Hardin (Travis) Stills, Gray, TN; great-grandchildren: Sierra Stills, Gabriella Stills and Alexia Stills. Preceded by a daughter: Sheila Hardin, February 20, 1993; a son: Terry Hardin, March 28, 1998; brothers: Sonny Irvine and James Irvine. Mrs. Hardin lived her life serving her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a pastor's wife and loved teaching Sunday School and serving as church pianist. She is lovingly remembered as a prayer warrior! She was a wonderful homemaker and also enjoyed selling Tupperware and Mary Kay. She delighted in serving at the election voting office and she was also a faithful member of the Henry County Medical Center Auxiliary for many years.
