Funeral service to be held Saturday, March 1, at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Trent Bullock officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 10:00 A.M. Saturday. She was born in Paris, TN to the late John Sturdivant and Ethel Merle Sinclair Sturdivant. On November 1, 1968 she married Vernon Hendrix who preceded her on September 10, 2013. Survived by step-son: Mike (Karen) Hendrix of Nashville, TN; granddaughter: Keri (Ricky) Brookshire of Boaz, KY; step-great-grandchildren: Hanna and Jenna Brookshire of Boaz, KY; nephew: Steve (Linda) Nanny of Marshall, TX; great nieces and nephews: Greg Nanny of Bossier City, LA, Laurie (David) Ragugini of Marshall, TX, Lynn Ellen Nanny of San Antonio, TX and Leslie (James) Garton of Sydney, Australia; great-great-nieces and nephews: Dawson, Ryan and Mason Ragugini of Marshall, TX, Gemma and Bella Garton of Sydney, Australia; cousin: Pam (Ricky) Yewell of Memphis, TN; brother-in-law: Wayne (Dianne) Hendrix of Cleveland, OH. She was preceded by sister: Myra Sturdivant (Lester) Nanny and nephew: Glenn Nanny. Viginia attended First Baptist Church in Paris where she dearly loved the ladies in her Sunday School Class.
