Vivian Marie Lowe, age 100 passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Gallatin Health Care Center in Gallatin, Tennessee. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday, February 24, 2019 at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Sunday until service time at 2:00 at McEvoy Funeral Home. Vivian Marie Lowe was born January 31, 1919 in Springville, Tennessee to the late Early French and the late Ada Jones French. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Lowe in 1991. Ms. Lowe is survived by seven grandchildren: Randy Kee, Marc Kee, Beverly Kee, Tracy Dyer, Caryn Steele, Jennifer Lang, and Paul Russell; great grandchildren: Kathy Price, Kimberly Kee, Kristen Kee, Samantha Kee, Jessica Kee, Brett Kee, Stacey Jordan, Kelly Jordan and ten more; and a brother, Kennith French. Besides her parents and her husband, Ms. Lowe was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara A. Kee; two sons: Newton Gerald "Jerry" Dowdy and James Loyd Russell; three sisters: Hazel French, Polly French and Earlene Turner; two brothers: Earl French and Joe French; and her first husband, Loyd Russell. Living to the age of 100 Vivian saw many changes. When she was growing up she rode to church in a horse and buggy. She spent a great deal of time helping her father farm. She also loved playing basketball as a young girl. Vivian lived in Paris TN for many years. Prior to her residing there she raised 3 beautiful children in Manleyville, TN. Her children were the love of her life. She loved music like her father and she played the guitar. Vivian was an extraordinarily strong woman who will be greatly missed by those who were blessed to know her. SERVICES
