Funeral service 11:00AM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Cate officiating, burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Tuesday and after 9:00AM Wednesday. Mrs. Clendenin was a member of the New Bethel Church of Christ. She retired from the Henry County School System having taught at Oakland, Springville, VanDyke and Henry schools. Upon retiring she volunteered as a tutor and was very active in Henry County Helping Hand. Preceded by her parents: William Shade and Annie Vaughn Brown; husband Joe L. Clendenin; six sisters: Laverne Hill, Sally Pierce, Eunice Kohn, Lois McClain, Mildred Hughes, Keren Miller and two brothers: Broughton and Gordon Brown. Survived by several nieces and nephews.
