Funeral service 2:00PM Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Wilkerson of Foundry Hill Community of Christ Church officiating, burial will follow at Foundry Hill Community of Christ Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Jeremiah Morse, Kacy morse, Marty Morse, Bruce Lee, Dean Heavner and Kristina Lee. Visitation 11:00AM Tuesday until time of service. She was born in Colbert County, AL to the late Lilborn and Ethel Conley Nichols. On June 6, 1952 she married Leon Vane Thompson, he preceded January 18, 1999. Survived by daughters: Lois Heavner, Puryear, Dayle (Mike) Morse, Puryear; son: Brian (Tonya) Thompson, Puryear; sisters: Martha Loosier, Puryear, Joyce Springman, Arlington, TX, Opal Duran, Springtown, TX, Evon Kern, MI, Barbara Nichols, Springtown, TX; brothers: Gene Nichols, Godley, TX, Mike Nichols, Azle, TX; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren. Preceded by daughters: Kathy Thompson, Mary Thompson; two sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Foundry Hill Community of Christ Church and the Rainbow of Sound Women's Chorus Group. She loved to collect butterflies, knit and most of all she loved her family.
