Funeral service 2:00PM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Waddy of Cottage Grove Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Walker Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Joshua Lane, David Puckett, Chris Cooley, Frank Cervantes, Amillio Cervantes and Josh Hancock. Honorary pallbearers will be Hiram Cooley, Ricky White and Johnny White. He was born in Wardell, Missouri to the late Hiram Britton Cooley and Ora Wyona Williams Cooley. On December 13, 2004 he married Peggy Sue White Cooley, she survives in Cottage Grove, TN. Survived by step-daughters: Angela Lane, Cottage Grove, Ashley (David) Puckett, Dresden; sisters: Bonnie (James) Hunsucker, Cottage Grove, Mary Louise (Charles) Pickle, Paris, Brenda Kay (William) Fennell, Wardell, MO; brother: Hiram Lindel (Gayle) Cooley, Pawleys Island, SC; brothers-in-law: Ricky (Laurie) White, Athens, AL, Johnny (Frances) White, Dresden; five grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and a uncle. Preceded by a sister: Connie Sue Cooley and a brother: Bobby Fulton Cooley. Bill loved his family, friends, fishing, especially his grandchildren and he was a NASCAR fan.
