Mrs. Willie Grace Brewer, age 93, of Brevard, NC, formerly from Paris, TN, died Tuesday, January 17, 2011 at her residence. Her body was cremated and a memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial of cremains to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 12:00 noon until service time. Mrs. Brewer was married to John Adrian Mutt Brewer on July 24, 1937. He preceded her in 1998. Mrs. Brewer is survived by a son; John Ronald Ron (Anne) Brewer, Pisgah Forrest, NC, sister; Mildred B. Cate, Duluth, GA, grandchildren; John Donald (Prentiss) Brewer, NC, David Michael (Tammy) Brewer, NC, great grandchildren; Elizabeth, Jack, Zachary, Emma, and Adrian Brewer, NC. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brewer is preceded in death by parents; C.B. and Melissa Hamlin Smith Sr., sisters; Julia D. Taylor, Ruby L. Wright, brother; C.B. Smith Jr. Mrs. Brewer was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Paris, TN. She had formerly worked at Salant and Salant, and Paris Manufacturing, both formerly of Paris.
