Funeral service 2:30PM Sunday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Stephens of Sulpher Well Church of Christ officiating, burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery.
Named as pallbearers are Donald Ray High, Mark Olive, Daniel Powell, Jim Adkins, Peter Piskos and Edwin Ables. The men of Sulpher Well Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Saturday and after 1:00PM Sunday.
She was born in Como, TN to the late William Chesley and Ethel Mae Bradley Sykes. On October 7, 1951 she married Jim J. Olive, he survives.
Survived by daughters: Donna (Rick) Jordan, Eustis, FL, Gail Olive, Buchanan; sister: Frances Coffman, Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Maryellen (Tim) McKitterick, Gilbert, AZ and Katherine Curtis, Auburn, WA.
Preceded by sisters: Eron Henderson, Edith Brown, Ruth O'Daniel and a brother: Orvis Sykes.
Mrs. Olive was Valedictorian of her Eighth grade class and Salutatorian of her high school class at Cottage Grove High School. She attended Draughns Business College in Nashville. She lived in Memphis for 41 years, being a talented Homemaker and an exceptional seamstress. Mae worked as a secretary in the Memphis City School System, retiring after 28 years of service. She and her husband moved back to Paris in 1991. She was a member of Sulpher Well Church of Christ.
