Funeral service 2:00PM Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Collins of Henry New Life Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Her grandsons Carl Tanner, Ricky Tanner, Randy Tanner, Chris Cherry, Matt Cherry and David Tanner will serve as pallbearers. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Monday and after 10:00AM Tuesday. She is survived by her husband Richard Paul Tanner, Paris, TN, they were married June 7, 1947, daughters: Linda Tanner, Peggy Tanner and Marilynn (Steve) Cherry, all of Paris; sons: Paul (Carolyn) Tanner, Paris, Danny (Brenda) Tanner, Sparta, Jeff (Kathy) Tanner, Paris; sisters: Helen (Edward) Malone, Henry, Carleen Wilson, Paris, Juana Matsow, Ft.Lauderdale, FL; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded by her parents: Robert and Lucy Barham Lawrence; three sisters: Jewell Lemonds, Alice Cate, Texie Lawrence; seven brothers: Howard, Flavel, Jesse, Robert, R.B., Oswe and Lynn Lawrence. Mrs. Tanner was a Baptist and was retired from Paris Fashions.
