Funeral service for Mrs. Brasher will be 1:00PM Tuesday December 28, 2010 at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery, visitation 11:00 until service time Tuesday. Survived by a daughter: Ellen (Milton) McClurkan, Alva, FL, sons: Dan Brasher, Chapmansboro, TN, Richard (Diana) Brasher, Hayesville, NC, grandchildren Marc (Jennifer) Brasher, Kelley (Barrett) Smith, Stacey (Tim) Luna, Milton "Mac" (Donna) McClurkan, Robbie Berrong, great-grandchildren: Sophie Brasher, Audrey Smith, Tiffany Smith, Lee (Rita) Luna, Morgan Wallace, Mason Berrong, Anna McClurkan, great great-grandchild: Hunter Luna. Preceded by her husband: Harmon Elton Brasher, parents: A.D. and Elizabeth (Miss Lizzie) Greer Shofner, four brothers: Albert, Richard, Farris and William "Billy" Shofner and a grandchild: Rick Berrong. Mrs. Brasher was a Baptist, she retired from school teaching after 32 years service having taught at Jellico, Puryear, Friendship and Martin, TN, graduated from UT Knoxville and received her Masters at UT Martin, she was a member of ADK receiving her 50 year pin.
